SU HYUN PARK violin

Garnering international acclaim, Su Hyun Park is establishing herself as a pivotal violinist in the musical scene. She has won numerous accolades for her incredible virtuosity, brilliant sound, and musical prowess. Ms. Park continues to be an artistic force on the violin through her work as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player.

Developing a clear promise for performance from a young age, Ms. Park has pursued her studies at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Hyo Kang, Ronald Copes, Donald Weilerstein, and Li Lin. She has since studied with Glenn Dicterow and Lisa Kim of the New York Philharmonic. She has received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School and currently pursues a Professional Studies Certificate at The Manhattan School of Music.

Su Hyun Park has made her debut with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra, hosted by Lincoln Center in 2008. She has pushed her success that year by winning the Taegu Broadcasting Corporation Music Competition and making her solo debut with the Taegu Philharmonic. She has been decorated with top awards from the Riverside Symphony Caprio Young Artist Competition, Crescendo Music Competition, Monmouth Symphony Young Artist Concerto Competition, and the Kumho Prodigy Music Award.

In late 2016, Ms. Park has been recently appointed as an Assistant Concertmaster of the Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra in Chicago, Illinois. Transitioning into the professional scene, she has also been appointed as a member of Detroit Symphony Orchestra in recent months. Harboring a love for the orchestral repertoire, Su Hyun Park has served as the Concertmaster of the Music Alps Festival Orchestra and The Juilliard Orchestra. She has delivered performances in celebrated venues such as Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, and Alice Tully Hall.
